Add Airglow to your site.

Every site starts with one line in the page's head. It's about 3 KB, loads after your page and sets no cookies. Most people finish in a few minutes, without a developer.

  • Webflow
  • Framer
  • WordPress
  • Shopify
  • Squarespace
  • Wix
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Next.js and Vercel
  • Any other site
  • Cloudflare

Before you start

  1. Create a free account and add your website.
  2. Prove the domain is yours with a DNS record or a meta tag. The app shows both.
  3. Open Connect traffic and copy your script. It looks like this, with your own site ID:
<script async src="https://s.airglow.so/s.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_ID"></script>

Then follow the guide for your site builder below. When you're done, press Check my site in the app to confirm the script is live.

Webflow

  1. In Webflow, open Site settings, then Custom code.
  2. Paste the script into Head code and save.
  3. Publish the site. Custom code only goes live when you publish.

Webflow keeps hosting your site. To also count AI agents that never run scripts, a developer can put Cloudflare in front of Webflow (about 30 minutes; see Cloudflare).

Framer

  1. Open your project's Site settings, then General, and scroll to Custom code.
  2. Paste the script into End of <head> tag and save.
  3. Publish the site.

Framer only allows custom code on a paid site plan.

WordPress

Use a plugin that adds code to your site's header, so the script survives theme updates:

  1. Install a header code plugin, such as WPCode (“Insert Headers and Footers”).
  2. Paste the script into the plugin's Header box and save.
  3. If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache.

Developers can instead add it to the theme's header.php just before </head>, in a child theme so updates don't remove it.

Shopify

  1. In your Shopify admin, open Online Store, then Themes.
  2. On your current theme, open the menu and choose Edit code.
  3. Open layout/theme.liquid, paste the script just before </head> and save.

Checkout pages run on Shopify's own domain, so the script covers your store pages, not checkout.

Squarespace

  1. Open Settings, then Developer tools (or Advanced on older sites), then Code injection.
  2. Paste the script into Header and save.

Code injection needs a Squarespace plan that includes it.

Wix

  1. In your site's dashboard, open Settings, then Custom code.
  2. Choose Add custom code, paste the script, and pick All pages and Head.
  3. Apply.

Wix needs a premium plan and a connected domain for custom code.

Google Tag Manager

  1. In your container, add a new tag of type Custom HTML and paste the script.
  2. Set the trigger to All Pages, save, then Submit and publish the container.

Tag Manager loads the script a little later than a tag in the page itself, so very short visits may be missed. If you can edit the page's head, that's the better option.

Next.js and Vercel

The script goes into the site's code, so a developer adds it (about 15 minutes). In the App Router, add it to the root layout's head:

// app/layout.tsx
export default function RootLayout({ children }: { children: React.ReactNode }) {
  return (
    <html lang="en">
      <head>
        <script async src="https://s.airglow.so/s.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_ID"></script>
      </head>
      <body>{children}</body>
    </html>
  );
}

With the Pages Router, put the same tag inside <Head> in pages/_document.tsx. In the app, Send instructions to my developer shares these steps with your site ID filled in.

Any other site

Paste the script into the <head> of every page, in whatever your site uses for shared header code: a layout template, a theme setting or a “custom HTML in head” box. HubSpot, Ghost and most CMSs have one.

If your site has a Content Security Policy

Allow Airglow's script host for scripts and for the requests it sends:

script-src  https://s.airglow.so
connect-src https://s.airglow.so

Cloudflare: count the agents that never run scripts

The script sees AI browsers and agents that run JavaScript, which is the kind analytics counts as people. AI crawlers and AI-search fetches like GPTBot, ClaudeBot and ChatGPT-User only read the page, so only a server connection sees them.

If your domain is on Cloudflare, Airglow can run there too. It passes every request through unchanged, recognizes agents by user agent, signed requests (Web Bot Auth), published IP ranges and timing, and adds the script to your pages for you. We set it up with you: email support@airglow.so. Importing request logs from Vercel, Fastly, CloudFront and web servers is coming soon.

Optional: cookie mode

Airglow is cookieless by default. If your site has a consent banner, you can turn on cookie mode in the app. It follows one visitor across tabs and return visits, and only after they agree to analytics. It's also needed if you want to record people's visits, which is off unless you turn it on. How Airglow handles visitor data
